The weight wont continue to come off at that rate. That is normal the first few weeks. Ive lost 15-17lbs in 2 weeks before. Most of that is water, and once you start back eating junk it will come back rather fast.

Now if you lose another 8-12 pounds in the next 2 weeks at your size, then yeah something is wrong.

Well that's false. How can you justifiably make this statement without knowing anything about the OP's physical attributes other than his weight?

Pretty normal.

A quick change in diet like that + exercise will give quick results in a two week period.

It's mostly water weight. I don't think it's unhealthy. Now if you lose another 8-12 pounds in the next 2 weeks at your size, then yeah something is wrong.

Thanks for the sincere response
I've been a pretty heavy drinker for quite some time and it has affected my life/health to the point that i just got sick of it.

Keep exercising, it will definitely help.

On a personal note, at times in life when I have found myself in a bad way I follow the rules of life my parents taught me:

1) Eat as healthy as possible
2) No vices (drinking, smoking, etc.)
3) Exercise everyday
4) Get 8 hours of sleep each night
5) Double my efforts at work
6) Don't sit around the house - get out & do things or projects at home
7) Go to Church
8) Try to get at least 30 minutes of sun a day

These might not work for you but they have always helped me get out of a rut. If only I did all of these all of the time.

He oscillates between 3 types of posts:

1) fabricated false BS,

2) faux badass alpha-male posturing, and

3) gun-in-mouth cry for help.

This appears to be a strange combo of 2) and 3)... and probably 1) too...

You weren't here back in the day when he was performing superhero stunts on a weekly basis preventing rapes, murders, and car theft.

I won't knock him for that. I have helped people out with Christmas too and did so this year but I don't post a self-serving thread about it like he does which I will knock him about.
