Asik can't catch a could and doesn't contest when guys shoot over him. Alexis length alone disrupts everything.

One is good defensively and is good at boxing out. Atrocity on offense.

The other is an atrocity on defense, can't box out, but has a nice offensive touch.

Guess who costs more

Dude almost single-handedly blew the Denver game against the worst team in the league. Allowed 15 rebounds to Asik's 0 in the same amount of playing time. Thats was a 20+ point different. 40+ points per 48. He will need ALOT of games of substantially out-stating Asik to bring it anywhere close to even.

You can not pass to a guy atrocious on offense. You can't ask opposing centers to not try to grab rebounds but rather find other ways to try to impact the game.

Ding.

A lot of the passes early on were late dishes by tyreke. Asik was caught off guard twice because he was so close to the rim and tyreke decides to pass.

He's shooting 59.5% actually

He's great offensively and is rebounding better but he needs a lot of work on defense and of course fouling(been a bit better lately.)

Asik walking doesn't mean we get what he would make in cap space. You either spend the MLE on his replacement, and there really aren't many MLE appropriate centers, or you go with a minimum backup and we're back to Ajinca and Stiemsma. Yeah, it'd be real dumb to keep him. What's dumb is people thinking he's so easily replaced.

I don't think people realize we don't have space to sign him. we are going to use his bird rights to go over the cap.
