VR Gaming - Sony Unveils Project Morpheus

They went ahead and released some of the basic features.
The display is only 1920x1080 OLED, when the new standards in video quality are already UHD/4K (and will be within the next 18 months.)
The refresh rate is 120 Hz
They have better UHD and refresh rates in TV's, but I guess they are starting more basic, so they can continuously upgrade the models and get more $.
I would be interested to see some of the games they develop for this.

OLED is good, the resolution is not. My Gear VR uses the Note 4 as the screen, and the screen door effect is still very pronounced. I think true consumer units will need 4K screens at a minimum.

Unless I can take complete control of the character within a virtual world without the use of a controller, I don't give a shite about VR.
