Seems like you just said it was to make it ingrams backfield and that the cap space was inconsequential. Idk. I read that in more than one thread
It's obvious they are clearing room for a RB. That cap relief is big at a position that won't garner a huge contract. When you're $20m over the cap every more has the cap in mind. I don't care what coach says about it being a football move
And you are crazy if you think releasing Lofton and gallette are football moves

huh? The Patriots live and die by this mantra. They trade All pro players and it has everything to do with money.
shite Lesean McCoy is a perfect example. Get your head out your arse

It's not inconsequential and I never meant to imply that. It is secondary however, especially with the money being so low.
And Lofton has been poor the last two years. We could have saved almost as much converting his bonus if we wanted.
Galette is about football in the sense that they don't trust him staying out of trouble and getting suspended. The money is important here because it's big, but had he kept himself clean we wouldn't be looking to dump him and again would save about as much converting his bonus.
To Lester, we dumped Moore and Harper because we had replacements. So he about money but more so about getting younger. Vilma, Smith, and Greer were done health wise, so again way more football there.
If Evans goes it will be about equal money and football. Age is catching him quick.

Don't confuse money with value. They look at things like age and bang for buck value. It isn't straight cash otherwise they'd run with all rookie every year.
If play equals pay they'll keep the guy. If the feel if won't they let him go.

There's this thing call the salary cap. And multi year contracts. Play with all rookies? Huh? You're only in trouble if you spend too much or dole bad contracts.
The salary cap is something that causes moves like i just talked about. The Pats weren't going to be able to pay Seymour AND Vince Wilfork(MONEY). Logan Mankins wouldnt take a pay cut(MONEY) and when they traded him, they created like $6mil in salary cap(MONEY) and got rid of his contract.
McCoy was traded and freed $12mil(MONEY) in cap room for this year. Coming off a 1300 yard season, mind you. Money. Money. Money.

And they kept Brady because of money? Wilfork? They signed Mankins to the contract to begin with because of money? Signed Amendola because of money?
It's about the value. If play equals pay they keep you. If you are or they think you will under perform for what you are making or asking for then you are shown the door.
Value and money aren't the same thing. They are looking for the best value, not the cheapest option.

Larry David is cool.
George was the only thing worth a damn on Seinfeld once the novelty of Cosmo work off.

yep, especially PT. it seemed like anytime we needed a play PT could get it done... especially in 2009 and in the playoffs.

Oh god no. My wife watches that and it's horrible.
I'm into those USA originals for the most part. And the Walking Dead. Don't get into too many series otherwise.
More into comedy and action movies. And video games. And my kids when I make the time.

Another show my wife watches. Not as bad as I thought it'd be but it's kinda meh. It could have worked without the batman angle.
