Well he won't see it in current form because he'll get an extension.

And you definitely weren't the only one. You were probably the most reasonable one even though I passionately disagree on cutting him.

So many other players making more and sucking more. He is 100% worth it.

Now kickers on the other hand are streaky mother frickers. Even the good ones have multiple back years. I totally called Hauschka taking a fall this year and that he would be over paid.

Can you pull the grades of Michael Oher and Byron Bell for me from 2014?

I don't normally do requests from Non-Saints fans, but ok.

Michael Oher
Overall= -20.2
Pass block= -8.9
Run block= -11.4

Byron Bell
Overall= -40.1 (Holy shite)
Pass block= -26.7
Run Block= -13.6

He wouldn't even be in the NFL if his hands weren't so good.

That's like saying "he wouldn't be in porn if he didn't look so impressive in a banana hammock."

Running backs run the ball...Cadet sucks at that. Porn stars have sex...they better not be bad at it or they're fired. Why is Cadet still on the team?

Strief was the big find and it took a couple of years to get him in.

A lot of that was bc he was banged up the first few years. Plus, he just could not do enough to replace Stinch.

n my opinion, this defense ruins players. How many times will we watch great players become average upon coming to New Orleans or terrible players become awesome upon leaving?

I so, so, so wanted C.J. Mosley.

So he could suck in our defense and be considered a bust just to move on and become an All-Pro?

I hope we keep that Saunders kid, he seemed to have promise doing returns.

Well, he deserved a chance to lead our defense to new heights.

And Meat, yeah, Saunders was probably the biggest and most unanticipated pleasant surprise of the 2014 season.
We'd be stupid not to keep him around.

I think if we can stay healthy and sign a legit number 2 beside Lewis and with Dennis Allen covering the secondary that unit will be much improved. Vastly. However, I think we will continue to struggle to get third down stops because of our lack of pass rush. I don't think Galette will be with us anymore and I don't think we will address it this season.

I think we sign some run stoppers as well like Spikes and draft an MLB and I think we will be middle of the road in stopping the run. Not good but not bad.

Overall. The defense will be improved. Improved enough to make a serious run? I don't think so. Make the playoffs? Yes. But unless we can create some serious turnovers, I don't see us being a contender

It's clear that Galette was nearly our only source of pass rush last season.
I don't understand why we're trading him.

Imagine how crappy our defense was last season, but with even less pass rush than they managed to show.
That's what we could be looking at in 2015.

I firmly believe that the 2013 defense was awesome due mostly to the effort of Jordan and Galette.

I'm holding out hope that we are trying to send him a strong message that these distractions won't be tolerated.

I can't see anyone we could get for him that would match his value. We have a young 10+ sack guy locked up through 2019. The one time the Saints lock a great player up early, we have this issue.

I'll add Lewis to that too. I really think we should give Wilfork a look at a 2 year deal if it is favorable ~$4-5 million/year. We would instantly get better against the run, could spell him with Jenkins, and it would give us an interior push + depth on the dline. Hell. we would have had 5+ sacks in the 1st atlanta game if we had any interior presence. We were destroying them off the edge only to have Matt Ryan able to step up in a clean pocket

I'm sure he'll get a nice contract somewhere though with his name despite his age
