I think I'm getting close to the end and there are quite a few weapons upgrades I don't have yet. I'm a completionist by heart so I'm tempted to go back to earlier areas and get all the salvage I missed, but it's really important for me to finish this game, and I think the longer I wait, the harder it will be.

Once I beat the last mission or boss I'm done. Unless it's something like diablo or borderlands. I don't really care about getting each and every thing

To me, the ultimate in completionist games is DK64. In each level, all 5 monkeys had 100 regular bananas, 5 banana coins, 1 golden banana, and a piece of blueprints. I couldn't move on until I got everything, unless of course I hadn't unlocked that monkey yet.

It depends on the game. I got the platinum for Infamous 2 because I enjoyed it so much but usually I do a lot before the end, not after.

I'm not sure I'll do it again when dev and I start playing, but Resident Evil 5 was one of the few "recent" games that I went the extra mile to get all the achievements, minus MP stuff.
