Did Kansas really cut down the nets after the WVU game?

I get they are celebrating the Big 12 Title…but an Elite program cutting nets for conference title? Isn't that kind of expected…should it be for winning the NATTY?

They've won 11 straight, so maybe it is getting old for the fans but there are freshmen on the team that have never experienced it and it's a pretty good accomplishment to win one of the toughest conferences

Cutting the nets after winning the regional finals to go to the Final 4?
eta: you are correct. Conference Tournament Titles are the norm I guess. Just never seen UK cut the nets for a regular season championship.

Seems like they are getting closer and closer to losing it each year, but find a way. IMO it's one of the most underrated accomplishments/streaks in all of sports. People think its a big deal because they have become so accustomed to KU winning the whole thing. It almost discredits the accomplishment they do it so regularly.

Yeah they showed a graphic of their streak during one of their games and I was actually surprised. I assumed it'd be like 9 or 8 out of 11, something dominant but not 11 in a row. Through this streak there have been some really good teams that could have challenged for it. Texas, KSU, Mizzou, ISU, Oklahoma, etc. have all fielded teams that may have broken the streak to claim at least one title but nope.

I'd rather cut the nets for a regular season conference championship than a conference tournament championship. Regular season means a lot more to me than a conference tournament.
