I have a First Edition/First Printing of "The Log from the Sea of Cortez" with dust jacket. That's my most valuable book. And probably most favorite book too. I have several atlases from Europe from the 18th Century.

I have Homer's handwritten notes and first draft for Iliad. I use it as a coaster, so other than the cup ring, it's in great shape.

First edition was actually printed in 1884.

In the UK

1885 in the US

All of the 1st edition, 1st print errors are in my copy, so it's legit.

Mine is not a book, but a magazine....it is a pristine copy of National Geographic from around 1902...

cool thing about it is to look at the board of directors of national geographic at the time, as basically every single one of them is famous...has names like Alexander Graham Bell, inventor of the telephone listed...

Grandma has an Atlas from pre WW1.

Little strange to open it and see The Ottaman Empire and Land of China instead of what they are now.

Same version in both prints, both worth about the same.

Several subsequent revisions fixed all of the errors.

I have a book about the Saints (Catholic, not football) that belonged to my grandmother when she was a kid. It's hardcover and thick and in good condition, considering it belonged to her in the 20's.

Stack of Playboy's from the mid-60's that we found in my uncle's attic after he died.

I also own an ancient Norwegian book (1500's) My Grandma was going to donate it to the National Library of Norway. They flew over from Oslo, Norway to look at it. They were all excited, but she changed her mind and kept in the family.

I have my great grandmothers bible that was given to her as a wedding gift in 1880.

Not too old but my fathers first geometry book from LSU around 1946 and when my daughter was in 7th grade she had virtually the same book.
