This is my neighborhood and I am stuck at work. Anyone have any inside info or access to police scanner? I am curious if this was a home invasion or a domestic dispute or some kind of fight between roommates. If this was a home invasion then it is time to sale and get out of there. Gardere is taking over.

ETA: At 10 in the morning? I'm more inclined to think domestic incident than Gardere intrusion with the facts that are available now.

We're neighbors! Sort of...I live directly across Bayou Fountain from you. We have never had any issues, but we do hear a lot of drag racing (cars and motorcycles) and sirens coming from Burbank though.

Drug deal gone bad is my guess. Whatever the cause, seems like you need to get out of there and find greener pastures.

Isn't that way out near Shenandoah?

I used to live here a couple of years ago. My coworker lives a few houses down. She said she heard from a neighbor that it was a break in and either the homeowner shot or was shot. But there's a couple of different stories going around so she's still not sure.

ETA: Neighbor went home for lunch and she said it was a burglary. Homeowner shot the robber. Robber is dead

It really sucks because I've always felt that was a nice neighborhood whose homeowners really try to make it a good place to live. But the trash is getting closer and closer.

Then why is this a surprise? That's not exactly "man bites dog". Pakistan has been quieter lately than in the past, but it's still f&%king Gardere.

Really hoping this turns out to be false. We had a break in about a year ago on my very street just a few houses down. Some thugs came from Gardere and kicked in someones door while they were home. Luckily no one was hurt. Another incident is one too many.

Idk if you saw my edit or not. But my coworker went home and spoke to someone in the neighborhood that told her the homeowner shot the intruder and killed him

You just made my day!!! Thanks.

I am not happy it was a break-in but I am happy that the message was sent that trying that in this neighborhood might get you killed.

Either a domestic or home invasion.

Live and let die.
