Episcopal is playing Rapides, who they beat earlier this year, on Friday. Beckman is going for his 500th win and attempting to go to the top 28 for the third time in six years. That's impressive for a rich white school.

Here's my confusion of the story, if albany didnt fight evangel players, how did the refs eject them? Why did they not step between players and fans? Where is the administrators for Evangel? Every school ive ever seen in playoffs has a hawk eye on student section.
I still cant justify albany having 5 players ejected but Evangel has none. SOMETHING had to happen. And if the players didnt do anything, the school should still face a heavy fine for having students interacting with players from another team during a game causing ejections.

Ahh nice. One of my favorite games that year was EHS at St. Michaels. The one where all the St. Michaels fans messed with Darwin the whole game then they followed us out to the bus. They almost started a fight. We were ready. Haha

He went to George Washington for engineering. Then moved to Brazil and now lives in DC. JL, the 6'9 guy, is playing ball overseas now.

Evangel coach was quoted in the paper saying he got his players in a hallway when it started going down. It seems like it was students who were in the bleachers, not players, who were involved in the situation.

Also, the tweet I quoted is the kid "shouting out" to his dad for going out on the court and calling the refs cheaters. The dad should've stayed in the bleachers, it doesn't matter if he only took one step onto the court.

The dad came towards the court when his son was cut open (like any parent) ... he then had a few choice words and was escorted out (nothing out of the ordinary in high school basketball). Fight occurred a couple minutes after that.

Of course he did. What else do you expect him to say?

exactly what shouldn't have happened. He should have been worried about his son, not telling the ref likely it was his fault cause he sucked or whatever he told him. Just worry about your kid and his health/safety.

that's very out of the ordinary... during the game the parent is a fan, nothing more, nothing less, and you have coaches, refs, and trainers to handle such first aid situations. the parent going on the court didn't help anything

and every team should be drilled from the beginning of the season DO NOT LEAVE THE BENCH FOR A FIGHT...

Disagree. As coach and player anytime a player was injured in which the game was stopped ive always seen a parent out on floor

That's a rare occurrence for high school age and up.
