Have they ever played or won against an MLB team?

I want to say we scrimmaged the Astros once but do not take my word on that.

Not that I can recall. I remember us scrimmaging a couple of international teams when Skip was coaching on the '96 Olympic team.

We used to play the Zephyrs every once in a while. I know it's not a "MLB" team, but most of the teams that play the colleges are made up of minor league guys.
Most recently in 2001 and 2002. We lost 5-2 and 8-3.

MLB teams used to play college teams regularly in exhibitions back in the early 1900s, but LSU didn't win.
LSU did beat a team of second-stringers in 1939 though. Harry Rabenhorst

I seem to remember that too. Unless we're both dreaming...

I think that geographic location works against LSU in making this happen. Schools like ASU (who are playing the D-Backs this week) and the Florida schools all have teams doing spring training right nearby. Easy ride over for a game. No coach is taking his team on a road trip for an exhibition mid season.
Be nice to see it happen though.

What national teams has LSU played? What were the scores? Would be interested in that.

I know Boston College plays the Boston Red Sox minor league players every year in Florida. I think in early march.

Do the college teams still use their metal bats?

I want to say one of them was Australia. I'm trying in vain to find information about it, though.

Lost to the White Sox, don't know the year but it was a long time ago, Comiskey might have owned them

UGA plays the Braves every year or at least they used to.

Yes... Same year as Warren Morris home run... I was at the game and have a signed ball with all of the future major leaguers on it... Including Troy Glaus and Kris Benson among others.
Edit: My bad that was the Olympic team... Morris was on the team though.
