What? These are really the names?

Boring but big is one of the names for an assistance regimen along with 5.3.1. Not sure about that second one

Yea, he has reasons for naming that, but yea he is a tad rough around the edges and tells it like it is.

North of vag is named that because his long time friend who had given up lifting started doing 5/3/1 and wrote him a l3tter thinking him for getting him just north of being a vag or some ahit like that. Its just one of the assistance templates.

Jim Wendler is damn good.

I recommend reading all his articles on tnation.com and read some Dan John and Christian thibodeau.

I looked at it high level and seems like it would take a lot more time per workout. I love the 5.3.1 for the simplicity and get you in there doing work and out in an hour

I'm going to commit to doing 5.3.1 for the entire year and see how much gain I can make. If I gain at the prescribed pace I should be at a 300lb 1rm for bench and have a shot and squatting 4 hundo. We shall see.
