Sorry to hear this. I believe that somehow, you just manage and muddle through things.
Personally, we've been married for 23 years and have 3 kids from ages 22-14. I told my husband to wait the "appropriate time" whatever that may be for him and find someone who loves him BUT also loves my children. BUT to NEVER let them forget that I was their mother and how much I loved them.
