Percentage change is substantial, but it's still only 1 home run every 2 games.

Another relevant stat (maybe the most relevant) is runs scored. What's that look like so far this year?

Agreed.

The new balls will result in more doubles and triples as well, which could also help excitement.

A triple is vastly more exciting that a Home Run imo.

Loving how many we've already gotten.

It is an improvement, but if you noticed, all the home runs have been in the extreme rt or left quadrant of the field... I was extremely disappointed seeing laird just tee up and crush that ball Saturday and the guy caught it two steps in front of the warning track in left center... Still needs about 10-15 more feet added IMO... Hopefully, the temps rising will help enough but I'm not optimistic that college bb is quite "there" yet.

It might help when the winds turn around and start blowing from the south too.

Yeah, but that ball shouldn't have needed help getting out....

Did anyone see an opposite field hr this year yet?

You mean has anyone seen an opposite field hit that should have gone out, right?

Its tough for a lefty power hitter to make a living in cbb... Just keep pitching him outside.

Agreed but it's been a hurting wind for most games so far.

Didn't Scivique hit one out last weekend to right center field?
