The dumbest thing about the entire Saban player thing that year was that rantards were up in arms that Miles wasn't playing his recruits more that year.

I never said I question his ability. But people have in the past, more so than his recruiting ability.
Just saying it makes no sense to tag Saban recruits as his players because he didn't really make them into national champion athletes, Les did.
And let's also not pretend that the cupboard was bare when Nicky stepped into Baton Rouge. That '01 team was stacked.

i disagress a lot there is something about the family atmosphere and the coach not keeping all damn agents away because the mass exodes of underclassmen at our school is unknown in the history of college football.
there are other very very talented programs like fsu and uf that don't have the underclassmen leave like we have. something is different here and when i say different i mean wrong

I'll never understand how we lost 3 games in 2001. That team had more NFL talent than 2013.

The '07 team lost 2 games. Therefore none of those players were Saban recruits. No way Saban recruits lose that many games in a season. Right?

Does it matter who recruited them or coached them? Miles and his coaching staff are the players that developed these players not Saban.
