Reading numerous things in the past few weeks looking like he's willing to do whatever to trade up for Mariota. I mean, they have the 20th pick what all would they have to give up for that deal?

With some of the front office friction there it seems like a major gamble. I know MM is his guy and all but..

If they make the trade, then yes.

he'd be a good fit there but if you have to trade away a king's ransom to get him..

don't do it.

It wasn't a big secret Kelly wanted MM, but you'd think Philly would play it a little closer to the vest than this. Tampa Bay or Tennessee can basically name their price at this point.

They'd be better off just drafting Bennett in the 3rd or 4th round and keeping McCoy and the draft picks.

He worries me as a coach. His draft contained mainly of players he coached or played against. Would like him to start doing more research into the talent out there.

He should go all-in and get him. If Chip wants to prove his system, then Marcus is the guy. The sooner a piss/pot with hurry-up in the league, the better. I doubt the Titans want him, and their front office will likely step on their d#cks at some point anyway.

They would have to give up way more than Washington did to get RGIII back in 2012.

Would be a horrible move by Philly imo.

Just wait two years, when the majority of the NFL is convinced that Mariota can only be successful in a spread offense. He'll probably get him for a 4th round pick.

In the meantime, Kelly is cutting bait with Nick Foles way too quickly. He was 6-2 as a starter last year before the collarbone injury.

I trust Kelly here. The guy made Mark Sanchez look pretty good at times.

If he's really all in for Mariota just gives Foles to the Bucs or Titans along with a couple picks. Foles is an instant upgrade over anyone those two teams have I'd take him if I were them. Mariota is gonna suck in the pros anywhere but Philly IMO.

should be interesting to see what they do in free agency.

pretty sure they need a CB.

they probably could use another safety too. They got Malcolm Jenkins last year from the Saints but I'll bet you anything he won't have anywhere near the type of season in 2015 that he did in 2014.

The eagles special teams made a lot of difference last year too. Blocked kicks, return for TD's, their FG kicker was solid.

their offense turned the ball over a lot though. I think they led the league. So while Foles may have had a good record when he got hurt, his play could be pretty shaky.

Chip? No, I'm glad he's there. The system? Well, yeah.

I think Kelly is leaking this idea to try and get more teams inquiring with the Eagles about trading picks, then being able to choose the best offer. Teams aren't sold on these QBs and are looking to trade down and get a QB in next year's draft instead. Most likely the Eagles will now get many offers and be able to force teams to bid against each other
