That's what I thought they had said. So why did Deanna lie about not recently letting anyone in?

Good thought but there are just no resources to do that (reconfiguring load bearing walls, new slab for the connection, etc.)
There's wood and nails and that kinda stuff..has to be. She said they were building the minimall nearby and that they had tons of resources. Surely there is enough to build small walls and a floor. And I'd bet there are roofing materials and even insulation as well (not to mention there are likely other buildings with those things that may not be in use).
I know it won't happen, but it was just a thought when Rick and co. talked about being split up into two houses last night.

Good call. Not sure. IIRC, she said something along the lines of them not having let outsiders in in a "very long time" or something like that, right? So maybe several months could be considered that, or maybe she's lying. Who knows, but it definitely could mean something.
Loved the scene with her son and Glenn, btw. Glenn straight up smacked that dude in the grill. Also thought it was funny how they were basically bragging on the weapons they had for Glenn, Noah, and Tara and they looked at them like "Seriously? I just gave up an M-16 yesterday."
Also, why would they put Noah, someone with a clear limp/disability on the run group?

How did Rick upstroke while shaving his neck and not have any razor burn? I call BS

They did say that it took her a few weeks to start talking though, but it definitely wasn't 8 months (only "a few months ago").
Are you positive?
For some reason when i read the post the "8 months" rang a bell for me too.

They definitely said "a few months"
When I read 8 here I knew it was wrong, but i wasn't sure.
Then the poster came in and confirmed they said "few" and that's definitely what they said.

I heard 2 months ago during the dialog. And to answer the question about Deanna lying about letting new people in, maybe Enid slipped her mind or she didn't really count her because she is a kid and not seen as posing any sort of threat. Which makes Enid's snooping around even more interesting. They underestimated her.

Sorry if Germans, but what's with the walker that was hanging from the tree apparently being eaten? Who/what eats a walker? And one funny thing from TTD show afterwards was one of the producers commenting on the scene where they all had to turn in their guns. She said that they only actually used a few shots for that scene but they filmed the whole gang unloading all their guns. She said the crew around the shot started laughing as each unloaded gun after gun after gun after gun.

It wasn't being eaten. It was tied up and slipped out the chains because of its rotten skin. It was the same one that came up after they whistled.

I still dont understand why it isnt a given that the group said frick your rules and kept a side piece on them instead of turning it in. Easily concealed and the people in Alexandria would never know.
They did allow them to keep their knives though. And Darryl was allowed to keep his crossbow so I assume they took his arrows.

Also wondering how "turn in your weapons" doesn't mean knives (i might can see that) and a badass crossbow.

I really enjoyed this episode. This has me pretty excited about the rest of the season. Lots of dynamics here.
Alexandra Breckenridge is finally here!
I see a couple of predictions that the surprise guest is a dead character, but I am going to guess that it is Morgan.

This. My thoughts, and I think this is the consensus, is that tying up the walker out of revenge against the walker just demonstrates how naive and green this group must be or at least appears to be.
The idea of "punishing" a walker ended in a bout the second or third episode for Rick's group.

Also, i'm surprised this wasn't a bigger point of issue or discussion.

Whether it's 2, 8, or "a few" I'm going to re watch tonight. IT could be a mundane issue or pretty important.

Well there are knives everywhere with the stocked kitchens in the houses so I can see letting those slide. But the crossbow, yeah that's different

Carol playing possum is awesome. "I didn't have much to offer the group so I sort became the Den Mother. I'm a real people person."

Just like they lost the last 3 members of the "run team", there's a good chance Tara, Noah and Glen could meet the same fate. Tara and Noah add nothing to the mix and folks have been calling for Glen's head for a few seasons now. Maggie and Glen are the only real couple in Rick's group and that's boring.

Sorry to start this probably insignificant controversy...I just rewatched and it did sound like "a few months" this time. Not sure where I got the 8 months from, unless someone said something like that on Talking Dead (I can't remember what they were babbling about last night). I don't read the comics so I'm not sure how/if Enid's character was introduced there.
I did do a Google search and found that someone else listed her character having been there about 8 months. (see Walking Dead wikia)
