There we're pills in college called "Chaser" and you took one after your first few drinks then one more after 6-7 and it always worked.

Pour a couple ounces of v-8 in your beers as your drinkng them. Works for me and I've probably consumed more beer than anyone under 33. I'm out of the military now so I assume someone will catch up.
