Pretty sure the best finish was in 2004, which was 3rd/4th in the WCWS.

Thanks. Hopefully we can bring home a NC this year. Looking at the Top 25, 9 of them are from the SEC. Not surprising.

I know ULL and 'Bama split a pair today and both are ranked ahead of the Tigers.

I know. But I am enjoying this run. We can't expect any team to go undefeated. If the loss or losses are against quality opponents then not bad. It is possible they can be 25-0 by the Florida game over there. And it's possible they both could be undefeated.

Why not. KY in men's b-ball has eyes on this but then there might be a Nichol's State standing by with umpteen left on base, or just a tough close loss as mentioned...

We went to the final 3 back in 2003 I believe. We had to beat Cal twice to play in the championship vs. Ucla. We beat Cal once but they won the second game.

When LSU made that WCWS run behind Kristin Schmidt, I was able to catch it on TV. You could tell she was bone-tired and it was just the force of her will and heart that kept her pitching as long as she did. It was one of the most memorable individual performances I can recall seeing.

What they are doing to teams is just astounding. I hope they can keep the momentum going in SEC play. We get Arky at home first which shouldn't be terrible, but then we travel to Florida

Whats scary is every starter and pitcher returns next year aside for Andrews....
The recruiting class we have coming in is pretty damn good. Torina was a huge steal. She will bring home championships in the future. This year, you have to like our chances. Top to bottom we are loaded. Probably deepest staff in the country. All the pitchers are freshman or sophomores.
