eye test I think LSU looks as good.

lol...you think.

LSU looks clearly better than UGA...and I don't think either team is comfortably in, by a LONG SHOT. You better not fool around and lose both games this week...one is guaranteed....the other you better take care of business or you will find yourself on the outside looking in. LSU is in now over Ga...imo...better record, better ooc win, and a win head-to-head.....I mean it's a no brainer at this point.

I mean I don't think I'd say that. Both are inconsistent...but you have to consider Georgia has had a lot of injury issues in their rough stretches. I don't know about LSU's injury struggles so I won't make assumptions. ESPN's BPI takes that into account(selection committee doesn't), and UGA has a very high rank there as well.

I don't think UK is a guarantee, although it is very likely we lose. Although with the screwy way RPI is calculated, it won't drop us and may even bump us up a couple of spots. Auburn yeah...we need that one for security, but I think even if we lose we are still safe. Maybe if we lose to them and then lose to another shitty team in the first round of the SECT...then we are on the bubble...it could probably go either way at that point. I'm pretty confident we won't lose to both Auburn and to an SEC bottom feeder on a neutral court.

I mean they are likely both in. But IF it came down to LSU and UGA for the very last spot...I don't think the committee weighs what you mention as the deciding factor. Georgia's tougher schedule and body of work is stronger...even if LSU beat us in BR in double OT. The committee doesn't hold a ton of weight in straight up head to head. I remember the last time we made the tourney in 2011...Bama beat us either once or twice in the regular season and knocked us out of the SECT and we were both fighting for the SEC's last tourney spot. We won based on a stronger body of work.

you lose both and you have 11 losses, and really, not much of anything in quality wins. You are out.

I think you are assuming a great deal. It's amazing that you think a team is better because they lose to a few better teams...again, LOSE to a few better teams, and beat a few less shitty teams...that's what it comes down to. Look at the results of top 50 games....road games against top schools, etc. Whether you play the 100th ranked team in the nation, or the 150th ranked team...they are still shitty teams...again, overall record, best win, and head to head....jmo. I've seen teams with high 20 rpi get left out before...based upon how they finished...quality of wins, etc....

For one, I don't think UGA is better than LSU. I think they are about even and if they played on a neutral court, it would be about a pickem spread. Maybe even LSU being slightly better. But I'm just talking resumes. Unfortunately for LSU, RPI takes all of that into account and I don't think you are putting enough stock in some of the bad losses you have. I mean Mizzou and Miss State are awful losses. But if you take Gonzaga off our schedule and give us Savannah Sate we would have the same number of losses. So that's the kind of thing RPI is for. Is a perfect system? Obviously not, but the committee puts a lot of stock in it.

The committee isn't going to be sitting there picking between UGA and LSU. They are going to comparing them to the other at large contenders.

The lowest RPI to be left out from a power conference is 40 FWIW.

The bubble is shite this year. Both teams are going to really have to tank to get knocked out.
