Hilarious that anyone could criticize that call.

not a criticism at all, it's simply an observation, and part of LSU sportscasting, with Hawthorne, and his predecessor calling on radio you almost have to be watching on TV just to make sure they're calling the right game, they are(were) avid LSU sports fans but their mouths start in gear before their brains can process what they've seen, part of LSU and I love it, I would turn down the TV and listen to the braodcast if there wasn't such a time delay

I was at the game-sitting 10 rows above the LSU dugout. It happened so fast I really didn't see the ball go out. I did not see Warren round the bases because it was mass hysteria in the stands. After all excitement calmed down a little, I realized that I wound up several seats over and in the row behind. Several days after, my daughter noticed bruises on the back on my thighs. I must have hit my legs on the metal seat arms in the excitement and didn't even realize it.

Broke a glass coffee table. 18 stitches. Didn't mind a bit. One of the finest television moments that I've ever witnessed.

I was in USMC boot camp and had no idea we won it all. I came home to the famous Advocate pic of Morris running the bases. It was a great welcome home gift!

.......only thing equally as exciting (maybe a tad more) was the 'ship' game in '03, and the ball just rolled and rolled 'til :00. i was too young (age 3) to appreciate (or remember) the '58 title..............my dear wife was out shopping during the warren morris game, but when he tagged that thing, my 5 yr old son and i jumped up and down for several minutes.......he jumped 'cause i was jumpin' and i was acting his age sort of ( ).......that was story book stuff folks !!!

Morrison made his pitch. 0-0 breaker low and in with heavy bite. Very surprising that Morris even offers at that pitch with two outs. Worked out pretty well.
