Cam stays in close contact with Cole and may offer at camp.
Oklahoma State is sending him mail every day and Gundy calls all the time.
Seems like OK State and Arky are after him the hardest. I expect him to go flooded with offers this summer. This kid is super smart, his brain and decision making is what sets him apart. 30 TDs and 9 ints this year only played until halftime In 4-5 of the games.

This was NOT the case at all in December. I personally heard Roger (coles dad) say they had left messages for Cam and never heard back from him. This was in a conversation the morning Cole was named district MVP.
From that moment I do not personally know of any further communications up to now. Hell, maybe they talk every day, but not what I've heard from others.
If you know better, then I'm glad they are in closer contact.

Yeah things came a long way since then. His recruitment will blow up this summer / fall.

Interesting.
Bc way I see it our "mobile" qbs have been the Achilles heel of this program for a fricking decade.
why do people over react like this? some other dumb arse will come along and read your post, regurgitate it as fact, and the idea runs wild that LSU has had decade long trouble at QB. At most we've had 4 bad years with Lee, JJ, and Anthony Jennings. I don't think any of these players problems were due to their mobility. Tell me, if Dwayne Haskins decided he wanted to commit to LSU today, would you deny him because he is a mobile QB and we've had two other mobile QBS that didn't live up to their potential? If so you're just a fricking idiot.

Yeah he's good an may have great upside in college but as a high school QB he's not close to Shea Patterson. SP is a robot at the high school level....cole might have a higher ceiling with the right coaching but he won't end higher than SP in high school.
Not sure if serious. The kids highlight tapes are nearly the same.

Completely serious....the reason Patterson is highly rated as he is cause he has the mechanics and footwork of a college QB. That's why some say his ceiling isn't very high cause people think he's already close to peaking. Which I'm not sure of cause he still has growing to do but he's thrown for over 5,000 yards an only 7 INT in 2 years and at least 10 of those games (district) he was out by halftime. Cole seems like his ceiling is pretty high but think he still has things to work on but he's a baller no doubt. Plus I think he could really push franks to have someone to compete with.

At this point, I think it's raping a dead horse.

Picking a high school QB that can find a 2nd WR or seeing the field and find the open guy then make a quick decision and deliver the ball is very tough to do.
A little over a week ago Dandy Don posted a web site with 4 LSU QB targets dated 2-26-15. Of the 4 only one looked special to me Haskins. Kellys film would be the only one close to Haskins a close third would be Peters.
Heck sign Kelly why not, the QB seems to be our weakest position and we have way too many TE signing each year.
Watch each film of all 4 QB and find Kellys and rank 1 through 5.
All of the 5 QB recruits locked on to their first target and either threw the ball or scrambled and found a 2nd WR.

Playing devil's advocate, it'd be nice to see some film of him not playing against all-white teams of cajun boys to really gauge his ability.
It's one of the reasons why Teurlings hasn't truly been taken seriously for quite some time.
His arm strength is undeniable. He has a serious cannon, but how would his ball placement be against teams loaded with quick-twitch closing-speed secondaries & edge rushers? How many of those scrambles that he turns into TDs become behind-the-line losses?
If someone has a link of him against more talented competition, I'd appreciate it.

He did preTry well against U-High , St. Thomas More, Notre Dame, and the rest of the teams he played were predominately black athletes.

The game to watch next season will be Calvary baptist vs teurlings catholic. Kelly will have to throw against one of the best secondary's in the nation so I can't wait for that game.

Ok, how about against Rummel from New Orleans? He played them in the State Semis last year.
I'm not sure of the completion numbers, but the yrds and td/int are spot on.
26/42
278 yards
3 td and 1 int.
If the officials hadn't been "letting Rummel play" those numbers would have been much better. Rummel had to hold receivers the entire game to keep him in check.

Rummel = Best Defense in the State.
Teurlings loses their top 4 WR this year so no telling what the numbers will look like next year.

I was at that game and he wasnt that impressive in that gm, but had a couple of TDs
However, the kid is a very nice looking qb; tough, very rangy with size and throws with a quick release. I do thk he has alot of potential, i dont really agree with all the hype about him, but i have not seen/read alot about him.
Seems like alike of ppl are trying to prop the local product up, with several btr choices out there...idk maybe he has a big yr and becomes a tiger....

I was at that game too...and not as a fan, you must be a rummel fan.
While it certainly wasn't his best game of the year, I'll admit, look at what any other QB has done against rummel this year and let me know how they fared in comparison.
Is he a finished product, no. Does he have enough upside to play for LSU and be one of the top prospects coming out of Louisiana...absolutely. Had a long discussion with Ken Trahan at that game and he seemed to agree.
