Because they're ignorant. I'm a tad biased, but lumping all members of any religion/denomination together is stupid.
I'm baptist and have been around baptists my whole life and have never heard or seen of any pastor having an inappropriate relationship with a girl (besides this one)

One could take that approach to. It pisses me off that these fricks use the church to carry out their demented activities. That's why I don't trust people that are too goody goody. They are sociopaths. I've seen it too much. Not as much of this kind of shite, but misappropriation of funds and other bullshite. The law isn't hard enough on them. A couple of broken legs to any sumbitch abusing their position in the church would be a better deterrent. Or it would at least make me feel better.

I'll give Baptists credit for not sheltering pedophiles like the Catholic Church, but let's be real, Baptists are the definition of nominal Christians. Show up to church most Sundays, act outraged over gay marraige or abortion, but other than that get drunk, be obese, get divorced at will, and behave just like everyone else in the country.
