Router signal is crapping out by the time it reaches the far side of the house.

All good solutions to extend your existing system so far...

For my money, I upgraded to Apple wireless for everything -- I put an Airport Extreme in the office, then use an Airport Express anywhere I need to extend the wireless coverage. An added benefit is that anywhere I put the Airport Express, I have the ability to connect a set of speakers and play music wirelessly.

Results have been exceptional, speeds do not drop through the Airport Express. Good stuff.
