was a lot of Cotton, Sourgam and Corn when I was a kid in Texas. I saw so much of it, I always associated it with farming and never thought it was odd.

True story .

Every year some dumbass mother frickers stops to take pictures while we are picking cotton.

I've learned to take this as pristine trolling opportunity.

I usually say something along the lines of all our slaves are in the back of the field right out of site.
The ones they see are just part time slaves and we let them go home at night.

You'd be amazed the looks and questions / comments I get

Everyday when I drive past the cotton fields near my house I cry about the injustices imposed on slaves by the vast MINORITY of people in the South,150 years ago.

$850,000 cotton picker

I wonder what that would have bought in 1860?

There seems to be a lot of cotton left on the plants in the fields near my house. Are their machines just missing some? Is that normal? Being from eastern Tennessee I always worked in Tobacco, so I have no clue.

Lulz

I don't work outside, I live in a town with more than 100 people, and I my diet consists of healthier items than grits and fried squirrel.

What's the farthest you've traveled outside your hometown, Lee? 100 miles?
