I know they were feeding them to encourage this behavior, but apparently this is the first video of one doing it on it's own.

pretty cool video..there are some pretty incredible videos of grouper eating things out there

I don't think it would be a regular occurrence, but lion fish are edible. So as long as the stingers for the lion fish did not penetrate the grouper I think it would be fine.

That's a great video. You see how the lion always keeps his back to the prey because they that no defense from the front.
In the spirit of lionfish dying.. lol

I want to do the spear fishing for lion fish this summer. A friend of mine said the Sharks in the area have gotten use to seeing scuba divers with spear guns and they follow them hoping to get an easy meal. Plus, the struggling fish attracts them too. This makes me a little nervous and ruins some of my excitement.

Wasn't it just in the 80's when Lion fish were a rare species...

Talk about working for a meal. I got frustrated just watching that grouper try to swim around and get a good angle.

Heard them bastards are good. They have that lionfish tourny. Think it was held last year in Venice. Teams brought in a crap load. Some over 50+ fish

I think some people kill 150+ in a day. Lsu hat, I think, has videos of a rodeo. Crazy stuff.
