What does the MB think of David Byrne? Musical genius?

He dumped the T Heads and won't do a reunion. I like some of his solo stuff but it hasn't achieved the popularity of his work with the band. What say the MB?

He is amazing.
He is big on the purity of music in general, so it doesn't surprise me nor bother me that he doesn't want to do a nostalgic TH reunion.

One of my favorite voices. Funny that he auditioned for his choir class in HS and was denied entry because he sang off pitch.

i think he is great. Definitely his talking heads stuff was his best stuff. But his solo stuff is better than average.
I think its pretty common for great arists to do their stuff in collaboration vs. on their own. And also 20s/30s seems to be the best time for creativity for musicians. their body can handle the drugs a lot better
