Is this show worth watching? I hate politics and political commentary.

Yes.

But keep in mind you have joined a thread titled

...so the opinions may be somewhat biased.

I figured I would get honest responses since I mentioned what I dislike...is there a lot of political jargon or is this show more than that?

nah. I'm not really into politics either but I freaking love this show. Some of the terminology you may not get but as long as you get the basic gist of the plot, you'll be fine.

I personally have never gotten involved in politics. It could not interest me any less. But I found the show enjoyable.

As for the political commentary, there really isn't any sort of agenda they push down your throat. The main characters obviously lean a certain way but you won't ever feel like you're being preached to or anything.

Some political jargon but noting someone can't follow, it basically what people who hate politicians think everyone of them are like. (Which isn't true, at least I hope not.)

Meh.

Season 2 really turned up the "campiness" factor, to the point that it's almost laughable. Hopefully season three turns it down.

I was in the same boat as you and the plots are mostly politically based but they don't bore you with the details. They make it fascinating to watch how the wheels turn in the background.

They also don't spend time preaching political talking points like most shows about politics tend to do but at the same time they don't try to step away from issues to be PC. It's really great how they balance that

It's really hard to explain but you'll like this show

I hated his character. he should have been involved in gettinf Lucas arrested then done away with. They kill stamper but kept this clown?

They guy that played him was just wayyy over the top. And the stupid ginny pig scenes were retarded.

The stamper murder is going to be super interesting. If they find out that Rachel did it then Frank is fricked unless he finds a way to bury it.

Plus Fish Face Lucas gets out of Jail in 7 years

I'm saving it for Saturday. I'm going to wake up early and start cooking ribs so they will be ready for lunch. Then I will do nothing all day but binge on HOC and eat ribs.

Seriously I love the show and almost everything about it...but that agent and the Gavin character. It just doesn't fit with the rest of the show tone-wise. Like you said, it's over the top and dumb.

It will be very interesting the direction they go this season.

Spoilers out there for where the season is headed and there is even possible rumors they could end it like the British version did.

With it's popularity I would think they have to at least do one more season. The problem if you are Netflix is affording the players and they had difficulties with Maryland in getting production started for season 3. Can't wait till tomorrow though, will have to stay off internet for the entire weekend.

I hope they go in a different route than the way the British version did

That was a great ending but I want them to forge their own path

I think for art's sake, the poetic ending would be 3 seasons, but they could really extend it out indefinitely. Depends on how far they go this season as far as time frame goes.

How much time has elapsed the first two seasons? A year or two?
