I'm not impressed. Produce on Sat or leave.

If experience was that much of a concern then maybe AJ should've played more in '13. And maybe we should've encouraged Rivers to stay around. I know he sucks - couldn't have possibly improved, blah, blah, blah.

Produce on Sat or leave.

we desparately need an above average qb nest year. if we get one, we can be on hell of a good team, esp if we start fast with early SEC wins against state and auburn.

Can you imagine if defenses had to actually concern themselves with our passing game with Fournette, Williams, Guice, and Brossette running free?

One thing I really liked the short time Harris got in was the energy and pace of the offense. Jennings had us playing in the mud.

Really? Haven't seen this yet.

This does bring up what I think is a legit criticism. Considering how close the race supposedly was, I think, regardless of who was starting last year, the other QB should've gotten at least a couple of series a game-- and not in the last minute of the game. For all but one game, that would've been Harris.

I think Harris hurt his ankle at Auburn, so maybe he needed 2-4 weeks to heal, but towards the end of the season, they should've given him one or two scripted drives a game. That might have helped him on several levels: from outright experience to helping him keep his head in the game (which is related to one of the criticisms leveled against him: that he wasn't as dedicated as he could be).

I want so bad to be excited about the prospect of QB play improving this offseason.

Though this feels like the same articles we read last year.

CC has shown that he can take a top
College QB and develop them into
Potential elite Professional QB's BUT-- what he has
not done--- is develop high school QB's
into good SEC caliber QB's. So that
tells me so far he lacks something.
He needs to produce THIS YEAR. Or
he needs to be replaced. JMHO

There are going to be no "youth" excuses this year. There is experience at every position.

QBs don't develop overnight.

Jennings was here a year and half the young excuse really bothers me

What is there to "know" or "learn" about the offense when you only throw it 15 times/game and half of those are with two TE max protect and a one receiver route?

Seriously what the hell is there to think about? Snap, drop back, throw to travin? How hard is that?

The subliminal message is that our qbs are idiots.

From what I've already seen in the last month, I'm very confident our quarterbacks will play extremely well this season.

I want to believe it, I really do. But let me wait until the season starts; I'm tired to have our high expectation quickly dissappearing game after game...

Really a chicken/egg issue. I'm pretty sure he said what we did on offense was a direct result of the inadequacies of the QB's.

This idea of progression makes sense... and you can't usually get to the level Cameron is talking about (knowing your offense so well that you can focus more on the defense) until you have a lot of experience. Our QBs did not have any significant experience going into this past year

So AJ is the starter, because Harris definitely didn't get the required experience last year.

Here's a homework assignment for you.

Compile two lists of successful QBs, those who are more than 2 years removed from high school, and those who are less than 2 years removed from high school.

I'll eagerly await your results.

He's been here a whole 2 years.
