It's amazing how after 29 seasons people still think it's a good idea to throw challenges. There might be one occurrence throughout the entire history of the show where it worked out.

Brah, why would Rodney ever be friends with Mike? He doesn't drink OR bang chicks. They have nothing in common. And the game of Survivor is pretty much all about drinking and banging chicks.

Survivor 32 cast may be determined by viewer vote

quote:

The Survivor 32 cast will be determined by viewer vote; only those who've appeared once before will be eligible.

Former Survivor cast members are privately saying they've been asked to create videos that make a case to viewers about why they should return for Survivor 32.

In other words, the cast of Survivor’s spring 2016 season will be partially or entirely determined by a vote from viewers after they campaign for support. Only those who have played once have been asked, which means no Ruperts, Russells, or Robs; likewise, no winners have been asked.

The Survivor spoiler known as Redmond first revealed this news earlier today, after teasing that this would be a Big Brother-like “America’s Vote.”

The entire Survivor 32 cast, or just some?

I’ve separately confirmed this, though it is not yet clear to me whether this would be the entire cast or just some people. I have also learned that if plans for this move forward, this vote may take place at some point before the Survivor Worlds Apart finale and reunion. If the show were to wait to reveal this until the reunion, which would be the most logical time, there would be very little turnaround time for a vote and other logistics.

That’s because the next two seasons will follow roughly the same production schedule as Survivor Philippines and Survivor Caramoan, which filmed in March/April and May/June of 2012, respectively. Season 31 is currently in production in Cambodia, and reports from that country indicate both seasons’ production will take place between March and July. Thus, season 32 will begin production shortly after Jeff Probst officiates at the live finale, which is likely to be May 20.

I have also heard from another person in the know who has had reliable info in the past that the pool of 40 (of which 20 will be selected) will have a heavy mix of players from recent seasons (seasons 21-30) and older seasons. According to him Terry Dietz from Panama and Pee Gee from China have been asked to submit videos for their campaign. Neleh Dennis from Marquesas and Kelly Wiglesworth from Borneo may also be in the pool of 40.

I love the restrictions to 1 time players and it looks like they are going to great lengths to include players from older seasons. I do hope they restrict the voting to half of the cast and pick the other half themselves. I shudder to think of the shite show that will ensue if America votes on the entire cast.

The only thing i don't understand is why they wouldn't just show that season in the fall and do the currently planned season 31 (confirmed all newbies) in the spring of 2016. Yes it would be out of production order, but the current plan puts s31 in a tough spot. Who is really going to care about s31 when they have already started to hype up the season that is going to follow it?

At least Rupert is excluded by those rules. If they want to make it really interesting, it should be "Survivor: Misfit Island", with the entire cast being players voted off first.

I have to admit they lost me this season with a cast of unlikable characters, from feather guy, to whining, soul-draining deaf bitch, to fat Cliff Claven, to the white collar team of douchebags, etc. This will be only the second season I haven't watched.

Really? I think this season is light years better than last season. At least they are playing the game so far.

Merge episode tonight . Pre-merge has been ok, but i feel like the numbers are so weird that from here on out is just going to be chaos. Really looking forward to how it all plays out tonight.

There aren't that many likable players this year. Joe seems to be the only one with a brain who is good at challenges. He's bound to be a threat and have a big target on his back. Sierra just needs to let go of the crap that happened earlier because when you don't play with your brain instead of your emotions it can be a disaster.

I want either a celebrity season or a season with 18 wilderness survival guides given just a flint and a blade.

I wish they would do the "eliminating" more like Biggest Loser - the candidates are the ones that do WORST in the "challenge"....not just one person safe.

By that I mean, I wish they'd play out the immunity challenges and the one voted out must come from the WORST performers. That keeps the weaklings from simply voting out the "big threat" types as soon as they can.

It always annoys me that as soon as one person proves himself / herself to be intelligent and athletic...the mob starts trying to get rid of that player asap.

Also, those that feel really confident sometimes drop out of grueling challenges because they have no fear. IF the worst performers (first out of endurance events) are the pool to choose from...they'd maybe think twice about bailing.

Kelly was about as dumb as... she was pretty much worthless. The council was great tonight! This has been a really good season so far.
