Also, do we get everyone else back from this rotation?

Martin is really making a statement these last 2 games. Mickey? Maybe...

Martin gone
Mickey 25% chance to come back imo
Mickey 25% chance to come back imo

Martin - 10%
Mickey - 33%
Both - well you do the math

Statistically I'm right 74% of the time.

martin goes and mickey stays.

Neither are First round talents..but I could see Martin leaving. I guess. I would think he'd be smarter and return to school. He'd be a top 15 pick if he did.

According to what CJJ said a few weeks ago, he thought they might stay. With the class coming in and the fact that LSU will get lots of attention and pub next year could really benefit them.

I don't know how much either is enjoying the college experience or how much their families value education. If both of those variables are positive and if neither projects as a first rounder we may see both back next year.

Mickey's defense (not talking about shot blocking) leaves less than to be desired. He is also inconsistent in the medium range jumper and his free throw shooting is sub par. JMHO
That said....I am ecstatic he is on the team and having my fingers crossed he will come back next year. Kinda one of those good college players but don't know about the pros.

Martin is making his presence felt recently, but Martin is also a home town guy, so maybe he'll stick around to win a championship? Either way, I wish both of those guys nothing but the best. It has been a delight watching them develop.

Not knowing their family situations makes it tough to predict. They both can make good money in basketball even if not at NBA level. For LSU, it would be great for both to return and maybe have that one awesome year.

quote:Not so fast there. We're all enjoying his games against Kentucky, Fla and Auburn, but don't forget he disappeared against both Tennessee and A&M after the Kentucky game (which is when the light supposedly came on). So he's still inconsistent; and that A&M game was huge.
Martin gone
I'm not so sure how highly I want to draft a guy who vanished in one of the biggest games of the season.

slim and none, and slim walked out the door in November

If we make a run in the tourney, and it's b/c of Martin, he's gone.
I think both come back, barring we make a run and one does really well in the tourney.
Mickey has 1% chance of making it in the first round, Martin has a good chance, especially if he keeps playing the way he is right now.
