33 freeman

Good luck with that boat in these seas. Dynamite boat but with conditions like this it would have to be a 42 ft Freeman and even that would suck with this weather.

I just talked to my cousin who is working MC 941 survey right now.. Said it was a solid 4-6 all day and was getting bigger this evening.

If anybody fishes be safe! It won't be fun.

Anybody headed down to just partake in the festivities? Thinking about strolling down to camp tomorrow and checking it out

According to a post on THT, the tournament is cancelled.

The gumbo/jambalaya is supposedly still a Go.

Now I'm wishing I'd gone down to party.

Probably in the low 50s on the way out for about 10 miles then up in the mid 60s when you are out about 30 miles plus. Further south the warmer the water temps. I would think the air temp with the wind chill heading out would be sub-zero inshore tomorrow.

They should have cancelled this thing earlier in the week IMO. Hint to the organizers for next year--purchase a 2 days event cancellation insurance policy in the event so all of your hard work isn't for naught next year if the same thing happens again.

Seems the rate on that would be pretty high?

Are wahoo in the gulf this time of year? I live in Panama City and didn't think we could wahoo fish until late April!

At the camp in Venice with the family this weekend. It's some kind of windy. Several boats went out today though all brought something back. Saw quite a few YF AND BF at the dock. Not many hoos no way I'd be offshore right now. We managed three reds in a few minutes not bad for a 2 yo and 4 yo leading the charge today.
