Subway @ Casino Royale

Seriously, some of my favorites are:

Le Thai-- Downtown
Circus Circus Steakhouse--like others have said, its legit
Golden Steer--Off strip, oldest steakhouse in Vegas
Alize/N9NE-Palms, I'm a fan, have had people tell me they don't like it though.
Cosmopolitan Casino has a ton of good options now.

Since Barbary Coast/Bills Gambling hall changed names I haven't been but they used to have the best cafe in the back. It was a 4am paradise of people watching and eating everything from eggs to orange chicken.

Edit: I forgot to add Lotus of Siam, not sure how I could forget that one. Place is awesome.

Is STK in the Cosmopolitan any good? I'm supposed to be going there for a bachelor party but I dont really care to spend 60+ on a steak. If it's especially not worth it I may coincide my arrival to be just after dinner.

The two times I have been I have enjoyed it, having said that though, I have an old work friend that now works at Cosmo and usually hooks me up.

I thought the food was good. Service at these places are always top notch so don't have to worry about that aspect of it. But yest it is pricey, everything in Cosmo is for the most part.

Last time I was in Vegas, I thought this place had the best options as far as for just walking in somewhere blind. I had an unbelievable lunch in a little Italian place that wasn't too pretentious or fancy. If you're into sushi, there was a great place in Aria called Bar Masa (spelling?). Kind of odd atmosphere but really good.

It is a nice place to go with several people who don't mind sharing entrees. There are so many wonderful dishes on the menu that sampling can be the best approach. I think not being able to dine at Lotus of Siam is one of the things I miss most about leaving Las Vegas.

Second on these recommendations:

Kabuto
Lotus of Siam
Bartolotta

Would add Julian Serrano if you are interested in Spanish tapas.

Yeah, used to take alot of customers to it as it was close to where I working. Really good food and has the older Vegas vibe to it.

I live here (Vegas), and spend too much time money on eating out. Thus:

General tips: Don't think you're going to get a group of dudes into any of the big clubs without paying a hefty cover *and* waiting forever, unless you spend huge money on table/bottle service. Do one of the club crawls if that's your situation (Las Vegas Club Crawl or Sin City Club Crawl are both good). Don't dress like a bunch of tards, either. Go to Goodwill at least, and get a jacket, nice shirt, and dress shoes if anyone shows up without them. You might get turned away, otherwise. The bus system is really good, cheap, and easy to use. Cabs are pricey here. Spend a night doing Fremont Street (cheaper and has old-Vegas feel). Head up to Valley of Fire if you're into outdoorsy stuff.

Thai: Lotus of Siam. Yes. Especially with a group.

Pizza: Pizza Rock (downtown/Fremont) or Grimaldi's

Old Vegas: Golder Steer with your boys (dress like the rat pack), or Hugo's Cellar with a date (get the Duckling Anise Flambe', even if you're not into anise).

Fancy burgers: Holstein's in Cosmo. Get the Billionaire Burger.

Cheap pre-gaming: Stage Door "Casino" - not a real casino, a block off the strip. Super cheap bar, and has a liquor store if you want to buy and pregame in your room.

Best strip club (baller money) - Spearmint Rhino. Hotttest girls, but be prepared to spend money and get hustled nonstop, though.

Best strip clubs otherwise: My choice would be Palomino (Only full nude and alcohol in one place). Hustler's not bad either.

Best View: Mix (nightclub/ultralounge) in the Delano. Usually some dude handing out $10 cover coupons downstairs. Also good are the Foundation Room in Mandalay and the Stratosphere.

Dive bar: Dino's on Las Vegas Blvd. Great karaoke on weekends.

Mexican: swing a dead cat.

Back to work, specific questions welcome.

The chef's tasting menu at Nobu was fantastic. It's five courses of whatever the chef wants to serve. It didn't disappoint.

Also a local and agree :)

Adding that I’m a sucker for secret pizza in cosmo (cheap and reminds me of Adams Morgan jumbo slice if you’ve ever lived in DC metro area)

Also... Japanese tapas and sushi on Jones (just 2 or 3 exits west from the Blvd on the 215). Kyara is 1 light North of Jones exit & has delicious Japanese tapas although not as good as when they first opened a couple years ago. SOHO is 2 lights south of Jones exit is awesome affordable sushi. Chef came from social house and opened up little place next to gas station (coincidentally he also has informal sushi burrito place 1 light south of 215 on Jones)

On the strip I Ike Todd English pub @ crystals for affordable tastiness and good beer selection for beer snobs.
