On Letterman tonight, rambling and rubbing his hands. No idea what he was there for. Pointless story about eating with Warren Beatty, with whom he may or may not have made a movie.

Heavy gay vibe was loud and clear, though.

If Sarah Jessica Parker was the best beard he could do, I'm a little embarrassed for him.

But yeah, he's always been really quirky.

Didn't he get in an accident where someone died and hasn't been the same since? Seems like I heard that once.

From his wiki page:
quote:

On August 5, 1987, Broderick was in a car accident in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland, while vacationing with Jennifer Grey, whom he had begun dating in semi-secrecy during the filming of Ferris Bueller's Day Off. The accident, which was the event through which their relationship became public, occurred when the rented BMW Broderick was driving crossed into the wrong lane and collided head-on with a Volvo driven by Anna Gallagher, 28, accompanied by her mother, Margaret Doherty, 63, who were both killed instantly in the accident.

No jail time for that? Or was it really an accident?

Double vehicular manslaughter.

Maybe Ireland doesn't have that law?

He was probably getting (or giving???) road head and crossed over to the right lane, forgetting that he was in fricking Ireland... just a theory.

As much as I want to believe this, he would have lost a dick, and this blower (Jennifer Grey - was she in the car?) would have died as well.

Maybe that is why she got the nose job that killed her career???

Anyways, it seems strange that a head-on collision would kill two people in one car, but the passengers in the faulty car would walk away safely (if they did).

Oh shite. Now I like the way you are thinking. Can anyone timeline this?

It's pretty funny to me that he dated his movie sister. I thought his girlfriend in that movie was way hotter though.

Just looked...her schnoz-jobs-gone-awry were in the early 90s. Her star had probably faded on its own by then. She had a good run in the 80s, I'll give her that. Dirty Dancing was an icon role for her.

On topic, Broderick is as awkward as every other dude using "all ten fingers and ten toes to keep the closet door closed" (Isbell).

I thought she was pretty and unique without the nose job. She got the nose job to be hot. Hot doesn't get you anywhere in Hollywood.

I've always read that the nose job screwed up the momentum of her career up b/c nobody really recognized her afterwards.
