she did a couple of pop songs to get herself out there, and now she's touring with Tony Bennett. I don't see anything wrong with that. she's ridiculously talented.

Gaga made many new fans on Oscar night of people who had no idea how gifted she is.

And some of her pop is great, anyway.

I don't think her thing got old. I think her thing got surpassed by Miley Cyrus, while Gaga was between albums. So now if Gaga goes back out trying to be the meat dress wearin', birthed-from-an-egg, wearing Coke cans as shoes, etc. provocateur, people will ignore it because Miley will just show her tits or cooch or something, because Miley has about as much talent as Gaga has in her morning shits.

People often said that Gaga was the next Madonna, however, I think Katy Perry has picked up that mantel. Gaga is more like Laurie Anderson or Dale Bozzio, except with the musical talent of someone like Prince or Elvis Costello.

So, all that being said, Gaga will probably start to calm down and enter a more mature stage in her career. And we will all be the winners.
