Man, what a show.

Even knowing about slippin' jimmy, this episode fooled me twice. I never considered the fat guy being in on the con, and when the guy fell off, I was even thinking "man, this might end up being perfect for his ad, being on the news and all"

not once did I consider he set up the whole thing until about halfway of him climbing up.

this show

...Mrs. Kettleman is a DD right?

The opening scam depended on the mark having cash in his own wallet. And a lot of luck. How many marks would (1) insist on checking the watch and recognizing the value of the "Rolex," (2) be ballsy enough to try to hustle their recently met partner, and (3) have enough cash on hand and criminal foresight to offer to sweeten the pot and make Jimmy's hustle worth the effort?

I'll bet you're fun at a party. Dude, it's a TV show.

I'll bet Jimmie's brother screws him over somehow in the next episode or two by taking the Firms side in this battle. This is probably how Jimmie gets forced to use the Saul Goodman alias.... Eventually.

They have been playing up his righteous angle too much for this not to happen.

I gotta admit, I wasn't impressed with the first episode of this show. Didn't really plan on following it.

But I happened across the replay of episode 2 and it caught my attention Watched that and episode 3 and I found those enjoyable.

And enjoyed episode 4 as well, though the upward trajectory seemed to level off just a bit.

I think I'll give the first season a try. One thing that it seems like is that they may feel the need to try too hard and put in too much outrageous stuff. I think they could pull back just a bit and it would be even better.

Oh, and a substantive comment: When Jimmy's brother was freaking out so much going outside I was thinking it would be hell for him to get arrested or even brought in for questioning regarding the "newspaper" incident. And don't you know it - the previews show the cops knocking on his door. Hmm. If they do take him out of that house that could get very interesting.

This may have been covered in a previous thread, but what the hell is Jimmy's brother's problem? Something medical or just crazy?

EMF sensitivity, which most people think is bunk. Hence, no electronics in the home. His difficulty leaving the house does suggest a case of "fruit loops."

Enjoying the show. I'm sort of surprised there hasn't been a big entertaining courtroom scene yet. Something epic like Al Pacino in "Justice For All" with some sort of "You're out of order, you're out of order..." scene. I guess it has to be coming where he wins the day and becomes the dude "you better call".

I am interested to see what case/client makes him the popular lawyer for criminals.
