Pulp Fiction: The Bonnie Situation

My wife and I buy different coffee so I thought about this scene. 
Quentin Tarantino was dead on in this. The suburban husband who is still a guy that wants to help out his friend but really pissed off that he has to because he feels it's in violation of guy/friend code not to do so.
At the same time you can see he's missing one of his balls from his wife Bonnie and being married so I think this is what makes this scene relatable and great. Jimmy comes off as a bitch initially and at first glance but until you put yourself in that situation he is an awesome friend to say the least.
Also, Travolta doesn't say a word in the kitchen while drinking coffee but might be the funniest bit of the entire movie. Re-watching just his character is hilarious. The look on Travolta's face as he keeps drinking his coffee as Tarantino is going off on SLJ is priceless.

Not true. He was there to make things as fixed as possible. The only things he had available to do that were his Acura, his experience, his quick-firing, problem-solving brain and money. He probably gave Jimmy 20x what they were worth, in appreciation of Jimmy's willingness to help out the other Wallace employees.
If you could sell everything in your house, with the stipulation that it had to be 100%, for just 2x what it was worth, you'd probably do it with only a little hesitation for various things' sentimental value. Imagine 10x or 20x - you'd help the buyer load up.

What heft does Jimmy have to talk shite like that to Jules, who is otherwise a bad MF? Jimmy's repetitive use of the N word feels forced and awkward. But Tarantino always does that.
And the Wolf gets way too much credit for knowing how to use a water hose and wipe blood out of a car. He really brings nothing to the table except having a connection at the junkyard.
What heft does Jimmy have to talk shite like that to Jules, who is otherwise a bad MF? Jimmy's repetitive use of the N word feels forced and awkward. But Tarantino always does that.

my favorite scene is after he talks the about gourmet coffee is when Wolf shows up and then takes a sip of his coffee and turns back to QT and gives him that nod like, "Damn, that's some good coffee."

That's the best part. They could have figured this out on their own, but they are too panicked to. The only thing Wolf really brings to the situation is a clear head. Sure, they could have thought to clean the car but... they didn't.
Pretty please, with sugar on top, clean the fricking car.

I think that reinforces the above - Jules seems to accept it as a peer (or at least a past one) - and one from whom he needs a big favor.

Jules and Vincent are soldiers - they do what they're told. But, they're not the sharpest tools in the shed. Wolf represents leadership - he brought perspective, planning and prioritization to the situation. There is also a phenomenon in combat situations - stress causes sensory overload - leadership provides purpose, direction and motivation during these times. Wolf provides all that at Jimmy's house.

I don't know if it is canon or not, but there is a precedent.
Obviously, Vincent (and QT wanted to cast Madsen in this role) is the brother of Mr. Blonde, so it is possible Jimmy is supposed to be related to Mr. Brown.

I agree 100%. Always bothers me. What did he really do? Eric Stolz is waaaaaaay more useful in a crisis.
ETA: although Stolzy spends way too much time looking for a book that he clearly doesnt need.
