These are the best teams in the NBA? WTF

Obviously I don't follow basketball, but is this good or bad for the NBA?

It's great imo. Actual parity.

It's excellent. Shows the reality of parity and the value of quality team building/play.

It's not just San Antonio anymore.

Right, but when smaller market teams are in the finals national viewership would likely be down. When is the last time this has happened? No Lakers, Spurs, Heat, etc etc

Good for people like me who love basketball, probably not the best for the casual fan, but the league is the most exciting it's been since Jordan was in the league IMO.

Wait, is SA a small or a big market team, in your estimation?

Just curious

Yup, the level of play the past 3-4 years especially has been scintillating

Raptors

Does not belong on that list. They've actually been pretty average since their hot start.

OP seems like a very casual fan. Let's go easy on the ol' sport

Fair enough. It's just really insulting to the whole West.

Its great

Playoffs are gonna be nuts this year. Warriors vs Thunder in the first round as the 1/8 matchup

I mean, he insinuated SA was a big market team. I didn't know whether to be flattered or flabbergasted

It's freakin great dammit!

What I love about it is how those teams came to be good. Lebron is my favorite basketball player ever, but it'd be a bit of a drag if every team was formed like his successful teams are. Although I think he catches a little TOO much shite for it.

I don't think parity is ALWAYS a good thing: see that cheatin' arse HUNH bologna giving my Crimson Tide fits

But in the NBA, with a cap and same rules for everybody, parity is exciting as hell.

And to the small market/viewership comment, frick em. I don't care if the public is pumped about a matchup. I love it, lotsa smart basketball people here love it, that's all I care about.

It is fantastic for the sport.

I wouldn't include the Warriors in your description though because Steph Curry is quickly becoming the most popular player in the league (beat LeBron in the ASG fan vote). They are like OKC in that manner.

Warriors are far more likable in general to me than OKC ever was.

Of course, I say that from the perspective of not being in their division, unlike warring with the Thunder year in and year out in our ridiculous division

RTR, while I have you here...

Is Landon clocking in at 228 a good thing or not? Looking at the rest of the DBs, he's fricking huge. 10 lbs heavier than the 2nd heaviest safety

Can't figure out if he's out of shape or a monster. And what's gonna be solid 40 for him? I figured he might drop some jaws but at that weight idk anymore. If he tests how I figured he might, he's gonna shoot up the 1st round.
