I think he will be one of the best D-Linemen to come out of LSU if he chooses to come here! With his freakish strength and coach O's teaching him technique the sky the limit for this young man.

Highly doubt it. Don't see him jumping either of the Ed's, Derrick Brown, Rashard Lawrence, Julian Rochester, or Dexter Lawrence.

and coach O's teaching him technique

Guys, this is one of the most stupid ideas expressed on the rant. Coach O has no special technique teaching abilities. Technique, at almost any position, is easy to teach. What you need is a pupil who is very talented and willing to learn.

If Coach O has special talents it's in inspiring people. That's why he's a good recruiter. I expect he'll be a positive motivational factor. But a great teacher of technique? Let's put that one to rest.

You do understand that you teach different techniques to match they body and playing style of each individual player, right?
Practice does not make perfect; perfect practice makes perfect.

Yeah man, let's get hired in the NFL to motivate that Dline. You are so dumb on too many levels. Orgeron is one of, if not the best Dline coach around. Just so happens he can recruit his arse off. Get over it, he's at LSU.

If it was all motivation and not particular strengths that certain coaches teach wouldn't there be a gluttony of good coaches out there? The better coaches see different things in different kids and teach them what fits their particular skill set best. The basics are the basics but some coaches have different techniques they teach. Not every technique is taught by every coach and so on. Every coach has their own particular and unique style and that's what separates the best from the rest. Its not all motivation kids that work harder than others.

Take our wrs for example. The NFL scouts last year raved at how advanced and technically sound our wrs were at running the full pro route tree while the TAM coaches got raked over the coals for basically teaching Mike Evans nothing. I'm quite sure the TAM coach knows the route tree. He just didn't teach it. Henry did and stressed it.

Yeah you're a dumbass. Coach O is a great DL coach. Just this week, Leonard Williams was asked about his great hand speed. He told scouts at the combine that Coach O worked on improving his hand speed as soon as he stepped foot on campus at USC.

Dear Penrod...do you know what the big knock is on Danielle hunter. Horrible hand technique. Sam Montgomery. Terrible technique. Mingo. Speed rush only, no technique. I read an article this weekend from one of the eagles college scouts. He pointed out specifically that LSU defensive line technique over the brick Haley tenure was weak. Technique for a defensive lineman is what separates good from great. An athletic freak with no technique in the NFL is a bust. Some coaches can teach it and some can't. That's why Haley is no longer at lsu

that is NOT why haley is not at LSU. haley signed a contract and would still be here is chavis was here. you are correct that the dline has underperformed under haley but miles would have kept him anyway to appease chavis.
