As I've said, if he can play without risk of further injury or structural damage, he should play and the team should try to win every game. I was one of those who thought tanking was bullshite, too.

Losing in the playoffs as the 8th seed and losing the 1st round pick

Not making it into the playoffs and losing the 1st round pick

If you are a physician than you would know that a shoulder sprain will heal in a few weeks and be a 100%. IIRC he is currently expected to miss 1-2weeks and therefroe plenty of time to heal.
