Crown, vermouth, bitter and cheery. Maybe a bit of cherry juice.
Sweet vermouth.
I'm not a fan. I'm having a Saffire gin, breeze of dry vermouth and bleu cheese stuffed olives now.
Switched from anchovy olives.

With all respect, Canadian whisky should never . . . ever . . . be used in a Manhattan.

I like a relatively dry Manhattan.
2 oz Rye (or high rye bourbon)
Capfull sweet vermouth (Boissiere)
Regan's Orange bitters (2 healthy shakes)
Drop Fee's whiskey barrel bitters
Drop Angostura bitters
Stir w/ice. Strain into cocktail glass. Twist orange peel over glass, add peel. Add Luxardo cherry. The best. No damn Canadian and NO cherry juice!

That looks delicious.

It is! Much prefer over OF (my tastes). Some on here have said that it's too "light". That's mainly a product of the spirit used (rye) and trying to make it less sweet by adding less vermouth. The original recipe is for one ounce sweet vermouth and I'm using between a quarter and a third of an ounce.

Much prefer this.
But I don't know that I've had a Manhattan that I know people think is good.
