Is there any place worth visiting in Batesvill,Ms?

Just south of Batesville in Oakland, MS there is a catfish house that is up there on my list of best catfish. It's called Country Catfish. Around $15 for all you can eat/drink. You can google it or go to Urbanspoon if you want more reviews. It's a 90%+ on urban spoon I know though
If that doesn't float your boat, drive 20 minutes east on 6 and you can eat in Oxford.
Edit: Just FYI, Country Catfish is only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Obviously they're open today, but I'm not sure when your going through.

Oxford has a ton of great food to offer. On the square, you can't go wrong. It's all locally owned restaurants. I live in Oxford at the moment and it's the best food scene in MS IMO. Much closer than Memphis, and there are some top notch places here. That catfish though is some of the best I've had. Can't beat the price for an all you can eat thing either. Condolences on the funeral.
