Why the crowd was so big

Gymnastics meets are fun. Not a bunch of old men asking you to be quiet or sit down. The atmosphere is amazing like I remember basketball games and football games when I was a kid. The excuses LSU are using that people just don't WANT to come to sporting events is bull shite. Make them fun again and people will come. As proven by the 20,000 people that showed up to watch gymnastics the last 2 meets. Plus the scenery is amazing to say the least.
I have two young daughters I bring and I'm so happy they get to see a fun atmosphere at LSU as I did. So I'm not a total perv......lol GEAUX TIGERS

I have been to the SEC gymnastics ships before and it is an amazing event. The athletes are also awesome.

Pmac would be packed for basketball if team was top 5..gymnastics didn't have these attendance figures when they weren't this good.. I'm sure they are fun, but it's hard to beat a packed out Pmac for basketball when the Tigers are rolling!

Well,to be fair, football and this site attracts more of those people. The guy posted a positive message about gymnastics, crowd, and atmosphere last night and look at responses he gets.

The meets are fun because it's primarily a bunch of young families with pre-teen and young teen kids, mostly young girls that don't mind getting up yelling and dancing in their seats, it's excitement in its purest form. They set the tone for the match. It's not the octagenarian same-sex marriage crowd you see at women's BBall and it's not the 60 year old coaches committee wanna-be marshall a-holes you see at men's baseball.
