Why? The salary cap would still be in place right? And even if the best players could choose where they wanted to play, that wouldn't be the worst thing. As a casual MLS fan, I think I would enjoy it more if there were 3 or 4 or 5 really good teams at the top, rather than the crapshoot it is now.

Um no there will still be a cap for the foreseeable future. Eventually that will have to go but for now its not.

The high road rhetoric from the union is entirely different than that garbage from the NFL's union head. This could play in the union's favor in the PR battle if a strike is in effect. This is where the NFL unions fail. That loudmouth rhetoric with subtle slavery undertones just doesn't bode well for the public when they know the players are making millions.
