Assassins Creed should go the way of "The Order 1886"

So are you saying AC should go linear? Not sure what you mean by this post. I am done with AC and Ubisoft either way.

It seemed like they had turned a corner with Black Flag, but I've heard basically nothing positive about Unity.

I'm still waiting for it to pop up on sale somewhere to try it out.

It's going to be hit and miss as long as it's yearly.

yes,AC should go to Movie/cut scenes. they could do one hell of a game, that looks great.

the climbing all game was boring 3 games ago. the game became tedious, forced out yearly like a COD.

reinvent with graphics over game play. Imagine the scenes from revolution days, and the sea battles would of been great with movie/cut scenes.

For what its worth its my favorite AC game. I played 1,2,3 and watched my girl play a good bit of Black Flag. If you like the ship battles and lot of the exploring and meta games in Black Flag you may be disappointed in Unity. If you are like me enjoyed mostly the sneaking assassination missions the Unity is a step in the right direction.

Unity wasn't bad because of story...it was a buggy choppy mess.

The game itself wasn't terrible, although you could wonder why they got completely rid of an aspect of the previous game (naval) that brought the series back to life.

Actually no. So maybe I should hold off on that comment. I should say that I was enjoying most aspects of the game outside of the shitty implementation. Also the companion app, pay to win aspect, and subsequent locked chests pissed me the frick off.

shite, maybe this game sucks more than I remembered.

I finished it. It took about 6 to 7 hours.

Pros:
Best looking game I have ever played
Has some really fun guns. (Arc gun is amazing)
Story (Although it does leave it open for the sequel)
The world is really cool.

Cons:
Short with no replay value
Some of the QTE are annoying (dodging the half-breed attacks)
Forcing me to walk in a lot of areas.

I actually liked the game. It is short and it is linear. I don't mind my games being linear, a lot of my all time favorites are. That is why I did not list it as a con.

It really should have been about another 4 hours long though.

Anyways the game is good, it isn't lol bad like most here are hoping/saying it is. I would give it about a 7.5. Would have been an 8.5 if it was longer.

I am interested in the story enough to see where they go with part 2.

I finished it as well, and I agree with the above post almost word for word.

There really aren't cut scenes more than any other AAA titles, and the ones they do have mostly have some sort of interactive element (QTE, walking) so it really never becomes just watching a game like MGS4.

Again I want to stress how good the visuals are, and how amazing this version of Steampunk London is. The world they created is a character itself in the game.

The Telsa-tech guns are fun (I really enjoyed the Thermite Arsonist Rifle) and the story is pretty tight and interesting. It's obvious they are shooting for a sequel and I have a feeling this will make the UC1 to UC2 leap once it does. You can tell they spent most of the development time on the engine, and a fully realized engine with time to work on the overall gaming aspects, this could be Sony's new flagship after UC4 concludes.

There is no doubt, the game set up for a sequel.

I was watching it, guy was 2 chapters from finishing, had to take wife out for dinner, come back find some one 2 chapters away from spot i left.

Right as he's getting ready to go to scene i left, he says his teeth hurt too much, he's stopping the stream. Go to another guys stream, he's 1 cut scene away, and then says good bye, finish tomorrow.

Finally head to this dans gaming channel, and have to sit through an hour and a half of game play to finally get back to spot where i left.

derp!!! Ending could of been a little better.

I dont get all this, were they deliberately not trying to stream the ending? :duno:

I think the only game in that series I like is the very first one

they never really built on it like they should have

I played 2 and 3, but the platforming elements are still unrefined, the stories and assassination setups are increasingly boring and lacking drama

the series is like a jack of all trades, master of none.

The stealth is super fricking annoying.

no, just bad luck on my part. I dont follow those guys, but apparently one had a root canal and other had been playing h1z1 before starting the order, so he was burnt out.

i ended up watching 4 extra hours hours of the game to finally get back to scene i left on.
