I believe he is out another 1 or 2 weeks after this one but does he start over any current starters? I'm excited to see what he and deichman can bring to the table

I am just not sold he will be back in that time frame. He is dealing with a injury that cannot be rushed back.

Norman will most likely get pushed into the bullpen

Norman's changeup looked nasty good. IMO, he didn't look bad, the other 9 guys gave him no help at all. Hell, they hurt him way more than they helped him.

Thought Norman looked solid and has a bright future. The sooner he learns to stop throwing 0-2 and 1-2 meatballs, the better he will be.

He missed quite a few pitches though. I recall 3 times that sciv set up outside on 0-2/1-2 and he missed inside.

Doesn't help either when your fastball is mid-upper 80s. Less room for error.

ETA: But I really can't wait to see Latz heard nothing but good stuff about the kid.

I don't think Norman looked that bad. Like he said after the game he too many strikes especially when ahead in the count. Nola had the same problem his freshman year. Could have taken some pressure off the kid had we got a few hits with RISP the first few innings.
