Was going to impress the wife Sunday by cleaning out my three tackle bags . As she sat beside me I proceeded to throw away a grand total of one bag of three year old electric blue worms . It was pitiful , 75 % of that crap I will never use . What say ya'll ?

Not a lot at all.

I have what I will absolutely use.

I dont like options. I will completely mindfrick myself the entire time fishing if I have odds and ends shite to pick from.

It's tough throwing away shite you bought and have never used. When I get into school trout that hit anything I unload all my crap baits in them!

Quiete a bit of what I use a lot, good bit of what I try and some I plan on trying. Guess it's like women with shoes, only a LOT cheaper.

I'm pretty minimalist when it comes to baits but I did find a Pringles can, the styrofoam packaging from a sausage on a bun and some sour apple gummy worms in my black crate all from last November when I went fishing with my son.

There's a few dried gulp minnows in there too.

My tackle bag is easily 60lbs and I have another 10lbs atleast of soft plastics in a cardboard box. I use pretty much the same thing baits every time and don't really try the new stuff I say I will when I buy it.

I have a problem.

Think Ike has enough rods for the classic? Sometimes I think the pros have a rod for every bait they own

I still have baits given to me from my uncle and grandfather's tackle box purges. I felt like a kid on Christmas morning when they'd hand me over baits that were in their way. Pass on some of those old baits to someone just getting into fishing

Same here . It's a sickness I guess . I have 14 Plano boxes of soft plastics and that doesn't count the 10" worms because I leave those in the packs . 4 boxes of jigs , 2 boxes of bandit crankbaits of which I use about 5 colors . And countless spinnerbaits , chatterbaits , and jerkbaits

I have 2 main tackle boxes. 1 for soft plastics and 1 for hard baits. And I still have leftover crap that doesn't fit. I have at least a thousand dollars tied up in baits in those 2 bags.

Yes. I know. I have a problem.

I have a small duffle bag with 5 one gallon ziploc bags labeled

Worms
Swimbaits/flukes
Craws
Lizards
Creature

If they are full, I don't buy new bait. It helps limit how much crap I have.

I also have 2 Plano 3700 boxes for terminal tackle (one is dedicated to pan fish). 1 Plano 3700 box for crankbaits, which isn't even full because I rarely use cranks. 1 Plano 3700 box for jigs. And a spinnerbait box that holds 22, and it's only about half full.

I have a worm bag that has 6 gallon bags: Brush hogs, finesse/trick worms, beaver baits, swimbaits, worms, and senkos.

Two 3700s full of cranks
One 3700 full of jigs
One 3700 for terminal tackle
One 3700 for topwaters

And I have a Plano spinnerbait box with at least 75 spinnerbaits in it.

I definitely have a problem

I have brush hogs and beavers in the "creature" bag. Maybe I should seperate them. It would give me a sixth bag and an excuse to buy more bait.

It's kind like how women can never have enough shoes.

Don't you know that baits aren't meant to catch fish.

I know a guy who seems to take it as some sort of personal challenge that every time he sees baits in clearance he buys them.

I'm not talking about the popular ones. It's always the weirdest colors or types of baits that no one seems to use or buy anyway. It's like he has a mission to see if he can catch fish on them.
