This dog is great around people. No problem with that at all.

But literally attacks any and every other dog it comes into contact with. The problems this causes are unbelievably frustrating and frankly, a change has to be made.

What type of cost does this type of training usually come with? And does it actually work?

Don't care about the dog learning tricks or any of that shite. This thing needs an intervention. It's some kind of terrier mix, around 35 pounds if that's important.

Larry Benoit is a good one we have used before. Not sure how much he would charge to do what you need. I think 75 to come to your house and work with the dog.

Your dog has an alpha male pack mentality.

I'd say pair him up with some pits or German shepherds

My exact advice to the lovely owner of this dog. It didn't go over too well. Now I'm just trying to help her.

My wife took our pup to dog training school. She didn't work with him and he flunked out due to not doing his homework. As a result he is now a welfare dog and lays around doing nothing 24/7.

Not my dog but this has worked really well with everything else. She has great behavior now because of just that.

I don't think y'all understand. This dog can't be in public. No exaggeration, it loses it's mind when it seeing another dog, and attacks it. Like, as to kill it. It's unbelievable.

Don't think she has an ounce of alpha in her. She's a nerd

This^

Get a 30ft check cord (long leash) and a choke collar with the prongs. Tie the other end of the cord to a tree. Bring another dog just out of reach and let the little bugger takeoff after him. When he hits the end of the leash he will never want to do it again. I've used this trick sucessfully.

If that doesnt work whip his arse or call dog whisperer.

I don't think you understand how prong collars are supposed to be used. That's inhumane and potentially very dangerous.

This is a socialization issue, unfortunately some dogs just are friendly around other dogs especially if they haven't been socialized as a puppy. May sound weird but try a muzzle and continue to try to introduce to other dogs, keep your dog on a leash and maybe use a prong collar to try to correct the behavior you don't like - don't use the collar to punish your dog or it will never socialize.

Benoit does a socialization outing every Saturday at South Park by BassPro. Get a muzzle and go.
