Which is the better route around 3pm tomorrow?
i-10 to US 190
or
1-10 to beltway 8
I'm trying to catch a 7pm flight. So i'm going to want to be at the airport a few hours in advance.
edit: I'll be arriving to Houston area around 3pm

I'm driving to IAH in a rental car from BR.

You'll never make it. It's a 3:45 hour drive at best.

How much are toll's so I can make sure I have the correct amount of money in small bills?

I forgot how many tolls are on B8 heading north to IAH.
$10 should easily cover it, so bring $20.

I'd take BW8, but if you don't want to pay the tolls you can do 610 to 59. You may run in to some traffic, but your flight is at 7 and you're getting in town around 3. That's plenty of time.
Since you're getting there early...if you're in B terminal, go have some beers and oysters at 3rd bar. If you're in C go to Urban Crave. E has some good options too, A and D are terrible.

TCO since you never venture outside the 610 loop, we will forgive you. The tollbooths on the East Beltway are unmanned, so no cash. Toll tags only. You can travel on the surface version of 8, but there's plenty o'traffic lights. Still likely to be your best option. Use Google maps, as the Wazers keep the red lines fairly current.
Or, if you're in a rental from BR you can take the Toll Road and hope that the HTA never catches up with the rental car company-they will try and collect if they do. At least Hertz and National from my experience

You couldn't have been more confusing as frick. Just take 10 to 610. You don't need 4 hours at the airport so if your in town by 3 you'll be fine.
Beltway doesn't take cash anymore. Only toll tags. Or just run through the pay stations. It's a rental car.
How much more was the flight out of BTR compared to IAH?

I10 to 59/69 to B8
No tolls so no money necessary.
You'd only be on beltway 8 for a very brief moment and won't hit a toll.
Or you could pass B8 and exit for IAH directly off of 59/69.

I don't really want to get into it right now but it was a last minute decision to rent a car.
A one way plane ticket would have cost a lot more than my discounted car rental fee. $35 flat rate, no per charge per mile.

Does United still use Continental's Bombardier Dashs to IAH or did they cut those? frick those planes mayne.

Now if someone can share with me their experiences leaving the Ataturk airport in Istanbul I would feel 10x's better.
Take a cab or airport shuttle? I get mixed reviews on both.
