Yes, don't do it. Rent one and get drunk on nasty frozen margaritas then see how much hate them afterwards. Seriously, don't buy one.

Actually I used to have one and it was used quite a bit within the family. I have 4 siblings and about 15 adult nieces and nephews. Always something going on. We are all going to buy it and share it's use. We can justify the purchase with all things considered.

Try ducote's. They usually have a few.

You could also call Spanky 's daiquiri rentals. They might have something to sell.

There's a few options to choose from, but if you get a bunn machine a new one is about half price compared to the stainless steel machines.

Homemade Machine

I had one of these for a long time until I gave it away because it was taking up too much space and also my liver enzymes were getting elevated every time I just walked by it.

Friend in Houston had a friend making them and I guess this is the guy. Works great and a fun project and even though you will look like a redneck it is a fun conversation piece. Cheap too.

If not I'd go with Walts first link.

I have a used pariot ice machine I was given because it would not cool anymore. It was low on a special type of refrigerant which is very hard to find. Once I recharged it, it has been working since ever since. It is very heavy and hard to clean.

no, that picture was taken at my friend's time share. We used to drag it to the beach when we were in college. Now we drive to the daiquiri shop. the beast it too heavy to lug around now days. But it does get dragged out a couple times a year for special occasions.
